Barb Mauntler has
20 years of experience in the field of organization development, training
and human resources. She
has a Masters of Organization Development from one of the top programs
in the country and is a member of the International Coach Federation. She
has worked internally as an OD specialist in the healthcare and petrochemical
industries and has consulted with both small businesses and not-for-profit
organizations.
Organization Effectiveness
Barb has worked with over twenty-five departments and/or management
teams to diagnose organization issues and implement change efforts. She
has worked extensively on the strategic plan for two business units of
Sunoco, Inc., a fortune 200 petrochemical company, and designed a method
for communicating and involving employees in a vision and values to create
a consistent culture across a variety of acquired companies.
Training & Development
Barb has extensive experience in assessing needs and planning
and delivering management development programs. She has coordinated
360 feedback processes and is certified in the Center for Creative Leadership’s
Benchmark instrument.
Human Resource Management
Barb has developed a competency-based approach to selection,
development and performance evaluation utilizing the Lominger Career
Architect and developed a criteria-based performance appraisal system
to meet accreditation standards for a large medical center. She
has also consulted on ways to improve recruitment and retention of hard-to-find
professionals and diversity candidates.
Coaching
Barb has coached professionals new to their positions and those
on the fast track as well as CEO’s, COO’s and other executives. Two
of her recent coachees were promoted to CEO and COO positions.
Credentials
Barb has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo
in Secondary Education and a Masters of Organization Development from
Bowling Green State University. She is a member of the Society
for Human Resource Management , a local OD Network and the International
Coach Federation. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Division
of Organization Development & Leadership at the University of Toledo.
